Despite me being on medication for spondylosis I am still quite a bit slower than Finn. This makes walkies on a lead rather challenging for mum. Finn wants to go faster while I am content at a much slower pace. So today Finn got let off the lead on the lane to see how he behaves. First he was a bit surprised and wasn’t sure how to behave. But he soon realised he can go further ahead without being stopped. He kept turning around and checking with mum that it’s ok to go ahead. At one point a car was coming behind us and mum called Finn to clip the lead on him and to sit down and wait for the car to pass.
This was all great but we all know that the first sight or a jogger, a cyclist or a horse rider will have Finn running after them as if he’s never seen one before. So mum has to keep her eyes peeled to spot such potential distractions before Finn does. I’m sure it’ll all be fine and as for me, I have to say the walk was very enjoyable and it was nice not being dictated the speed of the walk by my stinky older brother 😛
